Acer rubrum October Glory

Height: 1,2–1,5 m

October Glory is an exceptional version of the red maple, which can reach a height of 10-15m and a width of 8-10m. Its shoots are bright red, and its leaves are 6-10cm in size with 3-5 lobes, light green in summer and adorned in autumn with shades of yellow, orange and fiery red. Its dark red flowers bloom in March and April before the leaves emerge. It likes a sunny spot and well-structured soil rich in nutrients. Water needs are high; it requires regular watering, especially during droughts. An excellent choice in a larger garden as a specimen or as a tree-lined avenue, but it can also be combined with other shrubs to create a spectacular composition.
